18th March 2020. Working from home, David’s Diary Entry, Day 1
Bad news from Boris today, he is encouraging people to work from home.
David's Diary
It’s certainly going to be tough with M at home all day. I didn’t want her seeing my frequent trips to the kitchen for snacks so set up her desk on a table facing the window. She wasn’t keen, but when I mentioned the advantages of being able to look into the garden and that I would keep the bird feeders topped up she was all for it.

So far today I have only had 2 slices of Marmite on toast
and even then we had to have a discussion on what we fancied to eat. It was
just like tea time to be honest.
I did sneak into the kitchen when she was on
the phone to blag a packet of crisps and got away with it. Didn’t enjoy them
though as she said “OK see you” a few times and I thought she would hear the
rustling when she put the phone down - so just I scoffed em down. Fortunately it
was a female on the end of the phone and they say “bye” and “well I must go a
lot”, but in reality never actually stop talking for ages.
It’s nearly 5.30 PM and she is still working so I daren’t go
down stairs to watch Celebrity Antiques Road Trip as I normally do. Not sure
how this nightmare will pan out, but wish me luck
