Hacking into M's Diary
It seems a bit unfair to only have one sided view of our Coronavirus lockdown story, so I have hacked into M's Diary so I can share a few edited highlights each morning.
See I am not a complete git.
M's Diary -
Working From Home 18th March 2020
So far it’s not been too bad working from home. David set up
the laptop and monitor facing the window. It’s not ideal as I have my back to
the room so can’t see what’s going on, but he said he did it that way so I
could enjoy the view, which was really nice of him to think of that.
I really enjoyed us having lunch together, although I was
surprised when he said he didn’t usually bother having much as he is watching
what he eats and is very busy. He said
he would be fine with just a couple of slices of Marmite on toast!
That’s a bit
of a worry to be honest, as me and the girls at work usually have Cake, or a
massive bar of chocolate. I will get
around this and just buy some treats for myself next time I head out for toilet
rolls. I can hide them in my bag - he won’t dare look in there – lady things
and all that.
I am really proud of him as he really seems to be trying to
be healthy and doesn’t seem to get disillusioned despite the fact he hasn’t
lost any weight for months. In fact I thought he was putting on weight, but
obviously don’t want to undermine his confidence by saying so.
I thought I
heard him in the kitchen while I was on the phone earlier. I won’t mention it
but at a push I can always limit his calorie intake further by adding even more
more veg to main meals to fill him up. He won’t get away with snacking I can
tell you.
This evening I asked David if he minded me being at home and
he said “no it’s great”. He didn’t make
eye contact though and I thought he sighed when he said it, so I repeated the
question again, adding "are you sure". He didn’t quite look me in the eye, but
said “of course love it’s great having you here”. He then mumbled something
about forgetting to clean his camera lenses and dashed upstairs to his office.
